Science provides an empirical way of answering
interesting and important questions about the biological, physical and
technological world. The knowledge it produces has proved to be a reliable
basis for action in our personal, social and economic lives.
Lockyer District High School is able to offer students from both urban
and rural backgrounds the opportunity to acquire skills that are needed in the
agricultural industry. The
curriculum includes history of agriculture, cattle
production, the soil environment, poultry, aquaponics and hydroponics, farming
as a business and animal/plant anatomy and physiology.
