The school employs an Indigenous teacher aide to help and support Indigenous students in all aspects of their schooling. This support is available four days a week and students can make appointments with this person directly.
The teacher aide’s involvement within our school consists of:
Acting as an advocate for Indigenous students.
Positively promoting the indigenous culture of our school.
Providing opportunities for Indigenous students within school, in the community, in the work place.
Supporting students to achieve a successful educational experience.
Providing links with other support agencies e.g. Abstudy, child safety.
Supporting student, parents, carers through issues that are of concern.
ITAS support.
Liaising with students in school grounds.
