LDHS has a school based nurse and who is employed in a joint agreement between Education Queensland and Queensland Health to provide a health service for students, staff and parents. The nurse is located at U block.
The role of the school nurse is to:
address concerns or problems about health and well-being
provide expert instruction and facilitate forums to students about health related matters
contribute toward a supportive, healthy school environment
inform people about other support services within the community.
