School-owned Devices

Non-BYO Devices: Check-in-out Laptop Device:

 

Question: If we choose not to be part of the BYO program, will my student have access to a device?

Answer: Students need to pay a Lockyer Text Fee and students will receive an allocated device to check-in-out daily.

 

Question: Will my student have access to the same device?

Answer: Yes, students will be responsible for the device.

 

Question: How will my student access a daily device?

Answer: Students will attend the Technicians rooms at the start of each school day and check out a laptop device.

 

Question: Can my student take a check-in-out device home?

Answer: No, students must return the allocated device at the end of each school day to the Technicians Room.

 

Question: What happens if my student check-in-out device has technical issues?

Answer: Students will go to the Technicians rooms and discuss the matter with the school-based technician. We will replace or repair the device for technical issues?

 

Question: What happens if my student loses or damages the device?

Answer: Students are responsible for the care of the device. If they lose or damage the device, a replacement/repair fee may be charge.

 

Question: If we choose not to be part of the BYO program or check-in-out program, will my student have access to a device?

Answer: Yes, we have designated computer labs that students will have access too.
