SCHOOL CAPTAIN'S PARLIAMENTARY VISIT

15/08/2016

Every year, Member for Lockyer, Ian Rickuss MP, invites the Senior School Captains to Queensland Parliament House.  The captains are treated to a session of Question Time in the Legislative Assembly of Parliament House and a tour of the building.

After a fiery session between Government and Opposition, Annalyce, Jeffery, Monique and Mitchell were given a personal tour of Parliament House by Mr Rickuss.  The students enjoyed learning about the history of the heritage-listed site, as well as meeting other politicians and media personalities.

The tour concluded with lunch in Strangers Dining Room, which is a silver service, fine dining affair.  The Captains thoroughly enjoyed the tour, and hearing the views of Mr Rickuss.  They also had the opportunity to speak to Mr Rickuss throughout the day and ask questions relating to issues that they were interested in.  Annalyce, Jeff, Monique and Mitch went away with wonderful memories of a day they won’t forget.
