Lockyer Hits GOMA

On Tuesday 16th July, the Senior Art classes, and some Year Nine and Ten students, ventured to Southbank to visit the Gallery of Modern Art (GOMA) accompanied by Mrs Achilles and Mrs McGuire. The students saw contemporary indigenous art and also visited the Queensland Art Gallery.

“I thought the art excursion to Brisbane was amazing. There were so many artworks. My favourite piece was an Alice in Wonderland painting, called Blue Alice. It was a great day!” Jade Van Dijk stated, when asked about the excursion.

Jasmine Lucy said, “I thought the art galleries were tremendous. There were all different, beautiful and clever paintings and statues. I would like to visit them again and spend more time studying them.”

All the students had a great time. A huge thankyou goes to Mrs McGuire for organising the trip.
