Human Performance and Limitation Exercise

At Lockyer District High School the YR 11 and 12 students may elect to do Aerospace Studies. Earlier this year we have travelled to Melbourne for the Avalon Air Show and we enjoy many interactive and theory based lessons. Recently the class undertook a human performance and limitation exercise by be blindfolded and deafened while attempting to figure out which way they were turning on a chair. The test is designed to expose students to what pilots would experience if disorientation would occur and flight instruments were not invented or monitored. Everyone became disorientated and it was an interesting yet fun lesson; the type of lesson only experienced in Aerospace.
